LA HABANA
Seguirá Soñando Realidades
La Habana Suena explores the visionary relationship between the renowned French architect Jean Nouvel and contemporary Cuban culture through two unrealized architectural projects: La Estrella y el Cometa and El Almacén. Conceived in collaboration with Gilbert Brownstone, Pedro Daniel Rodríguez, and Mia Hägg, these projects respond to Havana’s urban and social fabric with poetic forms rooted in local architectural heritage and the city’s living communities.
La Estrella y el Cometa proposes a social housing complex for Old Havana’s residents, inspired by the geometric forms of a star and a comet. Its labyrinthine courtyards, flowing spaces, and play between inside and outside reflect the rhythms of colonial corridors and patios, reimagined to foster new connections between community and the individual.
